Terms of Service

By accessing or using Unexposed (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Unexposed is a secure document management platform that provides client-side encryption, document storage, sharing, and organizational tools. All documents are encrypted in your browser before upload using AES-256-GCM encryption. We operate on a zero-knowledge architecture—we cannot access, read, or decrypt your documents.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

Unexposed uses client-side encryption, meaning your documents are encrypted on your device before they are transmitted to our servers. You understand and acknowledge that:

• We do not have access to your encryption keys or unencrypted documents
• If you lose access to your account, we cannot recover your encrypted documents
• You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your account and any shared encryption keys

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, store, or share content that violates applicable laws
• Distribute malware or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these terms

You retain all rights to the content you upload to Unexposed. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your encrypted content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We claim no ownership of or rights to your documents.

Unexposed offers the following plans:

Subscriptions are processed through Polar. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Your encrypted documents remain stored and accessible during this time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unexposed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, your encrypted documents will be permanently removed from our servers.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
